Albury Vital Air has recognised the need for more sleep testing services in the local area and has recently commenced training and services.

We can now offer customers an overnight sleep test and full sleep report delivered to your referring GP or medical practitioner through our association with Sleep Services Australia.

In Australia, eligibility for a Medicare rebate on a sleep test is determined by a couple of questionnaire test results:

• An Epworth Sleepiness Score (ESS) test, and
• A STOP-Bang score, OR 
• an OSA50 score 

In general, a referred patient that has an Epworth Sleepiness Score of 8 or more, and a STOP-Bang score of > 3 OR OSA50 Score of >5 will be eligible for a Medicare rebated test.

Eligibility for the Medicare rebate will determine the out-of-pocket expense for a Sleep test at any clinic.

Albury Vital Air can also arrange for “At Home” sleep profiler fit out and education session for a small extra charge.
